Car Repairs and Money Savings

Car repairs are a necessary, but often high-priced expense. However, you can save on your car repair bills and still keep your vehicle well-maintained. In this article we'll cover 5 tips you can use to keep your car repair bills down and save money at the shop. So, keep reading to learn more.

1. Practice preventive medicine.

One of the best ways to save money at the garage is to limit the number of times you have to take your car there. So, drive carefully, don't put unnecessary wear on your engine, avoid overheating and stay on top of small maintenance tasks.

For example, replacing your filters is a very easy and inexpensive way to help keep your car running smoothly. A new air filter will cost you a few dollars and will help keep your engine running clean. Changing your own oil and oil filter is a relatively quick (though messy) job that should be done every 3000 miles, or typically 3-4 times per year. And doing it yourself will save you $15-20 each instance.

2. Get referrals from friends.

Do your homework to find a local mechanic who is trustworthy, reliable and sincerely interested in servicing your vehicle with honesty and integrity. Ask around at home or the office to see who your friends are using.

You can also use online customer review sites like Yelp.com or MechanicRatingz.com to see what other consumers in your area are saying about a particular mechanic.

The value of an honest mechanic can hardly be overstated. Even if the person's labor fees are a bit higher than competitors, your peace of mind and savings on unnecessary work recommendations you might otherwise receive from less scrupulous mechanics is well worth it!

3. Don't be afraid to negotiate. If a mechanic or garage comes at you with a higher-than-expected price, don't be afraid to negotiate or simply ask how you can lower the price.!

For example, let's say your mechanic approaches you with a quote for $780 on recommended work. Simply tell him that's a lot for you right now, but is it possible to do it for around $650 or $700? Next, ask if there are any jobs within the needed work that you can do yourself to help bring the cost down. By working with, rather than against, your mechanic, you're more likely to get a better deal.

4. Source your own parts.

If you know what part needs to be replaced, try sourcing it yourself. Rather than paying retail for a head gasket, you may be able to locate and purchase your own and bring it in with you to the mechanic's shop. Not only will you save money on the garage's markup on parts, but you'll also save time.

Be aware that some mechanics or shops will not permit this practice since they want to warranty all parts they install. However if it's permitted and you have the inclination, go for it.

5. Get it all in writing.

Have your mechanic write down everything he or she will be doing to your car, including the reason why the work is required and the total cost. Don't let them do any additional work without your permission.

Finally, always get a summary of the work completed once you've paid, along with a full listing of all new parts. Not only will this protect you as a consumer should any repairs fail, but it's good to have repair records for when you sell the vehicle.

Is Car Insurance Expensive?

Owning a car is an increasingly expensive business, not only do you have to consider buying and paying for a car, but also taxing it, paying for fuel and providing correct insurance. It is therefore no wonder that finding the best deal for your car insurance is so important, after all, why pay more for something if you don't have to.

There are over 100 companies that can offer you car insurance in England, Scotland and Wales and it can often seem like an impossible and time consuming task attempting to find the best deal for you as the quotes and prices you will pay can vary wildly from one company to the next.

Many companies also now offer specialised cheaper car insurance aimed at certain sectors of the market, for example if you are over a certain age and depending upon your gender and if you fall into any of these categories then you can really keep the cost of your car insurance down. You should first of all consider who will be driving the vehicle and which type of events you wish to be covered for.

The type of car that you own and require insurance for is also a major factor in determining the cost. Many insurance companies will place the car into specified price brackets, which are dependent upon how powerful the engine of your car is. It is therefore a good idea when purchasing a new car to not exceed your budget too much or buy a car that is very powerful if you cannot then afford the insurance.

There are three main categories of car insurance that are currently available and the one that you ultimately pick is dependent upon your own circumstances. These are Third Party only, Third Party Fire and Theft and Comprehensive.

Third Party only provides you with cover against any damage that may occur to a third party's property or infact that of the third party. If you have an accident involving another car which results in damage to that car or injures the occupant of that car, then this policy will also pay for the repair to the vehicle and any injuries suffered or medical care needed by the persons of the other car and passengers that are in in your car other than yourself. Third Party only policies will not however pay for any of the the costs that occur for repairing your own vehicle or any medical expenses if you are injured aswell. It is also worth noting that if your vehicle is stolen or if it is set on fire then a Third Party only policy will not make any payment toward the theft or repair.

Third Party Fire and Theft Car Insurance Covers are essentially the same as a Third Party only policy; however in this case a Third Party Fire and Theft policy will also pay out should your car be stolen or set on fire. A comprehensive policy on the other hand will pay-out for third party damages and injuries, in the event of your vehicle being stolen or set on fire, and will also pay for any damage incurred to your own vehicle and does not matter who was at fault.

Tips for Used or OLD Car Shoppers

Shopping for a used car may seem like an insurmountable task, but it does not have to be. The following tips will help you purchase the right car, arrange a payment plan you can afford and establish a business relationship with a trustworthy and respectable used car dealer.

▪Research dealerships before you shop. This may involve an internet search for used car dealers in your city as well as phone conversations with reputable candidates. Finding a used car dealership with true in-house financing who reports to the credit bureau will benefit you beyond the joy of driving your new used vehicle. In house financing means that rather than outsourcing to a bank, the dealer is your lender. This type of loan can prevent the damage that could be caused by having a major bank make multiple inquiries on your credit. Make sure your lender reports to a credit bureau, which will allow you to improve your credit score as you make timely payments on your loan.

▪Know how much to spend. Realistically analyze your budget and determine how much you can afford to spend for a monthly payment. Do not push your payment to the maximum, as you may have increases in insurance payments to consider as well. Use the internet to obtain the generalized resale value of any used car you are considering, which will give you a good idea of a fair price before you start any pricing discussion at the dealership.

▪Do your homework. You likely have a few ideas in mind for the type of car you are seeking. Research how certain makes and models stack up against competitors and read accounts of owners' experiences with certain vehicles on the internet and in consumer journals. Develop an educated opinion about the benefits and shortfalls of different vehicles, and evaluate them against your personal vehicle requirements.

▪Perform a background check. Thanks to CARFAX, consumers can now find out the history of a particular vehicle and avoid purchasing one with hidden problems. Reputable dealerships will provide a CARFAX report to potential buyers on all of their vehicles at no cost. But you can obtain a report on any vehicle yourself for a fee if necessary. The CARFAX report will advise you whether a car has been salvaged, flooded, seriously wrecked, used as a rental, or stolen among other things.

▪Get a second opinion. Even highly praised vehicles with a reported perfect history can have problems under the hood, and you never know why previous owners replaced them. Before finalizing your purchase, have the car lifted and inspected by a trusted mechanic who can advise you about problems the car may have. If a car requires major repair and you feel the dealer has concealed important information from you, take the hint and take your business elsewhere.

When shopping for a used car, seeking instant gratification may translate to settling for a vehicle that will not provide you with enduring satisfaction. Remember that a car is a long term investment and you must consider your long term intentions when making the purchase. Take your time, and use common sense about the background of the vehicle you want and the dealership you are working with. Whether you find the perfect vehicle on your first try or spend months searching, the ultimate goal is to end up with a reliable vehicle you love and a financial situation you can manage for the long haul.

Your Car Insurance Guide - How To Minimize Premium And Maximize Service

Auto insurance is almost always required by law, so there is a good chance you will need to become educated on it at some point in your lifetime. A good way to do this is by using the car insurance guide, which helps one find cheap auto insurance and figure out which plan is best for your needs. The fee that you pay annually for car insurance is called a premium. If you get into an accident that is your fault, your auto insurance company pays the repair costs of the other person's car.

Online auto insurance is the main focus of this car insurance guide , but it will also touch briefly on other types. A plethora of results will come out for search of 'car insurance' in net. The best option would be, however, to get a result comparing insurance options from different companies so as to get the best possible results in terms of money.

When choosing car insurance, be sure to go with a known company. Small and cheaper companies compensate for the low rates with poor service. For a policy holder, service and speed is very important when it comes to estimates or payment for any repairs. Buyers will desire agents available to answer any questions in making their insurance decisions.

Although it is not the focus of this car insurance guide, offline insurance works well from some people. There are companies that act as brokers for many different insurance companies. These groups can help you compare different insurance policies and assist you with the choosing process. Some people prefer this method because they get to speak with a live person, instead of just typing in information over the internet. Individual insurance companies also have their own storefronts where you can meet with an agent and discuss that particular company.

Choosing a car insurance policy can be very confusing, and the car insurance guide can help with that. It is important to know that the minimum insurance policy required by law in most states is liability insurance. Liability insurance pays only for repairs to the other party's car in accidents that are your fault, but not for any other costs.

If your car is financed (that is, if you have car payments) most loan companies will require you to have comprehensive insurance. This insurance will reimburse you for the cost of repairs to your own car, if an accident is your fault.

You can purchase many other types of insurance to put on your policy. Some policies pay your repair costs if the other driver isn't insured and the accident is your fault like "Underinsured motorist" insurance while other policies cover roadside assistance, medical care, and much more.

Your deductible is a key component of your insurance policy. The deductible is the amount you pay to fix your car when an accident is your fault. Higher deductibles mean more out of pocket costs to you in the event of an accident, but they also mean cheaper premiums.

12 Common Car Problems

Problems are inevitable especially to cars. Here are 12 car problems that are usually experienced by most car owners:

Worn brake parts - Brakes are very important. Yes they are. A brake is a device that is responsible for slowing or stopping the motion of your vehicle, and keeping it from starting to move again. The speed of your car largely depends on the brakes. And taking them for granted might lead to a danger. Never postpone the needed brake system service. In the case of your Mazda car, have it a regular maintenance to inspect the Mazda brake caliper which plays a very vital role in the brake system.

Worn windshield wiper blades - If you see worn windshield wiper blades on your vehicle, immediately replace them. Do not anymore wait for a rainy day to replace worn blades because this weather can further damage the blades that can eventually lead to an accident.

Defective lights - Car lights are very important especially when having a night driving. For the people on the road to know your car's direction, front, rear, and back lights should be well functioning. The fog lights are very necessary in foggy areas to clearly see the road despite the presence of the fogs. Check all lights before going elsewhere with your car.

Blocked filters - Air, oil, gas, fuel, transmission and other filters must all be unclogged. They all contribute to the performance of the vehicle. Scheduled replacements of these parts extend car life and improve performance.

Worn spark plugs - This instance reduces fuels efficiency and increases emissions in the exhaust. They also contribute to a poor performance of the engine. Regularly check these plugs to have a maintained excellent engine performance.

Worn battery cables - Worn cables and a weak battery inflame a trouble that is just staring. If the engine turns over slowly, have the battery and charging system inspected.

Rusted belts and rotten hoses - The engine cooling, alternator, power steering, and air conditioner are affected by a slipping belt. If belts are glazed and hoses are rotten, immediately replace them. It is important to note that vacuum and power steering hoses are obstacles to better performance and assured safety.

Delinquent cooling system - To avoid deterioration of radiator or heater core see to it to regularly service the cooling system. This is most important during summer season.

Leaking shock absorbers - Worn shocks or struts negatively affect the ride control and easily deteriorate tires. Avoid these leaks by regularly checking them.

Damaged CV joint boots - These are boots which are made up of rubber. These are built to protect the crucial CV joints that transcend power to your wheels. They need regular inspection and replacement if needed.

Leaking muffler - Lift your car occasionally. This is to check the muffler and other parts of the exhaust system. The exhaust system is the one responsible for releasing used gases in the air. It is important to maintain this system to make sure that every gas will be excreted safely.

Tired Tires - Tires are the only car parts that touch the ground. Worn tires are dangerous. Proper inflation, alignment and balance are needed to extend the life of your tires.

Car problems are really inevitable. But proper car caring and maintenance will greatly help in the prevention of these problems.

Car Buyers Tips, Advice and Secrets

Here ARE SOME INSIDER CAR BUYING TIPS, ADVICE & SECRETS to use on the Internet to improve YOUR New & Used Vehicle shopping experience to Buy or Lease!

With so much content and information available online today, the Internet is making it easier than ever for prospective buyers to shop for a vehicle. The following CAR BUYING TIPS may be helpful for shoppers in the market for a vehicle and may help improve satisfaction with their vehicle purchase experience.

1. Visit a variety of Web sites. With an abundance of information available online for used-vehicle shoppers, it's helpful to know where to find what you're looking for. Independent sites are good places to find intuitive search tools that match shoppers with the right vehicle for their needs, as well as pricing and reliability information. Dealerships often maintain sites that provide their current vehicle inventories, while many manufacturer sites allow shoppers to search for certified pre-owned vehicles in their area.

2. Search for comparative used-vehicle pricing. The development of Web sites such as Kelley Blue Book, AutoTrader and Edmunds have made searching for used-vehicle pricing information easy. Using these sites to compare prices will give shoppers a general idea of their desired vehicle's price range without leaving the comfort of their homes.

3. Consider online classified ads. Online classified ads sites such as AutoTrader.com and cars.com are competitive and convenient tools to give shoppers more options when considering a used vehicle. These sites allow sellers to post used-vehicle listings along with several pictures that can be viewed easily by shoppers, based on their preferred zip code.

4. Purchase or ask for a Vehicle History Report. Vehicle History Reports (VHR's) are an inexpensive way to check the track record of any used vehicle. According to the 2006 Used Autoshopper.com study, nearly one-third (32%) of automotive Internet users receive a free vehicle history report from the seller. If your dealer or private seller does not offer a VHR free of charge, one can be purchased online through sites such as CARFAX.com and AutoCheck.com.

5. One very important factor in car buying, when financing, is obtaining your personal credit report, and, if there is another party involved, theirs should be obtained as well. There are several good reasons for this; one in particular is that it is a good negotiating tool-even if you have a low score.

6. Search for financing and compare interest rates online. When shoppers have financing arranged ahead of time, it often gives them greater negotiating power when dealing with the seller. On most sites, applying for financing is fairly easy, and the interest rates offered by many online lenders are comparable to or possibly better than those offered by dealers. And, as always, great information from J.D. Power and Associates.

The most important concepts are Knowledge, Preparation, and Application. The first order of business is to gain the knowledge you will need to make a purchase. Then proper preparation of that knowledge for your personal use, and finally applying that prepared knowledge.

This is somewhat time consuming when trying to gather and compile the required information to make your next vehicle purchase. Planning to take new car for your Teenage Son or daughter ??Consumer Reports Lists Best First Car for Teens

As summer approaches, parents are once again thinking about buying their teenagers their first cars for that summer job or for those who will be going to college. In choosing the best first car for teens, it is typical that parents should opt for easy to drive vehicles as well as units that come having a good fuel economy.

Consumer Reports, one of the leading consumer watchdogs, lists some of the wisest choice for teens. What the cars in the list have in common is reliability, driver friendliness, fuel economy, safety and the price, of course. Parents are warned against buying high performance cars for their teens since they are commonly harder to drive and consume more fuel.

Since the car will be for teens, it is of utmost importance that parents should take into consideration the aesthetic value of the car they will purchase for their teens. One of the cars in the list published by Consumer Reports is the Ford Focus. Any Focus from the 2002 model year to the present model year is recommended except for the two-door models. Consumer Reports also recommend the Honda Accord EX with the four-cylinder engine. The Accords from 1998 model year to present are highly recommended. The Honda Civic EX and the Mazda 3 are also suggested by Consumer Reports. The 1999 to 2003 models of the Mazda Protégé ES is also recommended as a good buy for your teen.

Another recommended first car is the Nissan Altima 2.5 S four-cylinder. For this model, Consumer Reports recommend those produced for the 2003 model year onwards. The Subaru Forester 2.5X is also included in the list. The Toyota Camry XLE V6 and LE with the four-cylinder engine is also recommended. For the Toyota Corolla, Consumer Reports recommend the 1999 model year release onwards. Number ten on the list is the Toyota RAV4 from the 2001 model year to the present.

Aside from these vehicles, Consumer Reports also cited that bigger cars are also recommended for those who need the versatility and the large cargo space that can only be given by larger vehicles. For pickup trucks, it is recommended that teens should drive vehicles with no back seats. One of the good choices is the Toyota Tacoma. Another is the Nissan Frontier with its reliable Nissan Frontier parts. Both the Tacoma and the Frontier are known for their reliability and driver-friendliness. They are also relatively more fuel efficient than other vehicles in their segment. Other recommended trucks are Ford Rangers, Chevrolet S10s, GMC Sonomas, Chevrolet Silverados Mazda B-Series, and GMC Canyons. These trucks offer a good fuel economy as well as the versatility and safety of large vehicles.

How to Prepare our Car for the Summer Heat ?

Summer is probably the most exciting season in the planet. Family outings, picnics, hiking, and going to the beach - all done best in the summer, especially by families. And aside from the pet dog, another companion gives joy to the family. It is the car.

Going out with the family on a summer season involves several preparations. One of which is the preparation of the car to be used. Gone are the winter season and the rain showers. Welcome the heat of the sun by going out along with your family and a well prepared car.

The first thing to do is to remove the salt and oil dirt all over your car. It is also a must to remove these things under your car. Rusts are among the major enemies of cars. If not removed or immediately prevented, they lead to severe car deterioration. Have your car washed before going to a family outing in order to equip it with durable parts for the summer season.

And because winter is over, replace those winter tires with summer or all-season tires. Have them swapped out or rotated. Check the tire pressure. See to it that all of them including the spare are accurately inflated or balanced. This is to unsure increased gas mileage and decreased tread wear.

Check the brakes. Inspect if your EBC brake pads are worn; if so, then they need to be replaced. The noises that you hear from your car are implications of damaged brake system. Be very meticulous on these noises. If you hear some grinding, squealing, screeching or chatter, it means your brake system needs your attention.

Make sure to change your oil. As the life blood of your engine, it is a must it check it regularly. Fully synthetic oils are especially designed to protect your engine whatever the temperature is. They also increase the efficiency of the engine and minimize oil consumption. To know the appropriate oil for your engine, consult your owner's manual.

The fluids should be checked. It is important to have wiper fluid on a summer season to ensure the car's quality performance.

Because it is cold on a winter season, the depletion of your fluids is fast as your car is running faster. It is much better to check, top off or replace the brake fluid as well as the transmission, coolant, power-steering, and windshield water.

Also, inspect your wiper blades. On a winter season, your blades incur smear due to the sleet and snow. So this summer, it is wise to replace them to ensure safety. It is much better to replace your wipers now to avoid difficulty in driving on a rainy season.

Summer is basically characterized by a hot temperature. Therefore, it is important that your car has enough air conditioning that would combat the heat outside. Check the pressure (temperature) of your air conditioning system. It should be at most 55 degrees. Along with this checking, include the belts and hoses (see if there are wears or deteriorations) as well as the refrigerant (see if there are leaks).

Apply something on your car to protect it against the heat of the sun. You may ask your manufacturer for the appropriate one.

Now your car is finally ready for a family outing. These guide is not only to ensure your car's excellent performance but most importantly, to ensure your family's safety.

Is your car seat is Safe for Your Child : Quality Car Seats

I can tell you from experience, there's a lot of shopping to do when a new baby is on the way! For a while I thought the list was endless: a crib, bassinet, changing table, swing, walker, clothes, high chair, toys, stroller, car seat, on and on. And that's not to mention maternity clothes for Mom-to-be!

There might be a lot of items on the list, but one of the most important things you're going to buy for your baby is a car seat. In fact, a lot of hospitals make sure you have proper car seat equipment before you even take the baby home for the first time.

Of course we all hope that the car seats for our children are never put to the test. In case the worst happens, though, buying a new car seat makes sure that your child will be as safe as possible. Car seat manufacturers are required to meet strict safety guidelines, and car seat makers like Britax are always refining their designs with new innovations to make your child as safe as possible.

An industry standard that has been introduced a few years ago is called LATCH. It stands for "Lower Anchors and Tethers for CHildren." It has not only increased the safety of child car seats, but made it easier to install and remove them also.

The system dictates that car makers provide standardized mounting points for car seats, and car seat manufacturers put accommodating mounting points on their car seats also. Everybody wins! Your child is safer and you are happy with the ease of use.

New car seat models from makers such as Britax not only comply with the LATCH requirements, but they often have additional safety features. For instance, a number of models from Britax offer a supplemental upper anchor called Versa Tether which provides more security and minimizes the possibility of head injury.

There is no one car seat that is the "safest" or "best." The best and safest car seat is the one that fits your child correctly and is installed and secured properly, every time you drive. And speaking of proper use, remember to never place a rear-facing car seat in the front seat of a car that has a passenger air bag. For that matter, all children under the age of thirteen are safer in the back seat.

The saying "they don't make 'em like they used to" could certainly apply to car seats! Technology and research have definitely played a central role in the evolution of child car seats, to the benefit of everyone. Give your child every advantage and make sure they are protected by a new car seat designed with their safety and comfort in mind.

Give Your Car An Oil Change

How long has it been since your last oil change? does you car run a little week, does your car seem like it eats up more gas then it did when you first bought it? It's time for an oil change.

You can do it yourself, there's nothing to it, no matter what kind of car it is because there all the same when it comes to adding and changing the motor oil. Your grandmother could do it. Or you can pay some loser that doesn't car about his job because he gets paid $5-bucks an hour down at the local jiffy lube. But doing it yourself seems more logical. And even if you don't have the time eventually you will, Changing you motor oil can be fun. Lets look at how you can get-r-done in three easy steps.

The first thing you want to do is find a nice flat level surface and get yourself a sturdy jack, after you've got your car off the ground with enough room to climb under it make sure you have some kind of block behind the rear wheels to make sure it doesn't roll on you.

The next thing you need to do is change the oil filter, this is the worst part about the job. Sometimes it's easy and sometimes its not. Grab your self a rag and a screw driver, if you got a strong muscle grip it's gonna come in handy. Squeeze you hand around the oil filter turning it with all you got intill its loose, if that doesn't work pop a whole in the side of it with your screwdriver and get it that way.

The next thing you want to do is get an oil pan or something you can drain the motor oil into, oil pans are pretty cheap at the car part store maybe $2-5 bucks. After you've got that all taken care of, you gotta find the bolt (Plug) that keeps the oil from draining out, you can locate it by finding your cars oil pan usually around the edges of it or in the center. Then get your self a wrench, some cars are the same when it comes to the size of the bolt and some are not, so it's best to have a selection of wrenches with you, The next thing you want to do is put on a pair of gloves your hands are going to get oily. (Make Sure You Give Your Car Plenty Of Time To Cool Down Before Changing Oil)

After you got all that nasty oil out it's time to put the bolt back in and filler up with some new stuff, Give that baby something new to drink "em em em" your car will love you for this. Now it varies depending on what kind of car you have when it comes to how much oil to ad, you will have to ask some one at the auto parts store, they would be more then happy to help you out.

And that's it your car will be running like a new again. Typically an oil change is recommended every 3,000 miles while sometimes its hard to matian that set schedule and the fact that some people do forget, a regular oil change can significantly increase your gas mileage and engine performance.

Tips For Searching A Best Deal On A Used Car

Not everyone is comfortable haggling with car salesmen over the price of a used car. Buying a used car can be stressful and protecting yourself from scams and lemons is not always easy. Here are a few suggestions to help you successfully shop for a used car.

Research the Blue Book value of the car before negotiating a price. This ensures that you will not unknowingly agree to an overpriced purchase.

Ask about the title. Check to be sure that the vehicle does not have a salvage title and the seller has legal authority to sell the car.

While private purchases can sometimes save you money, it is best to buy from a dealer whenever possible. Consumer car laws do not extend to private transactions.

Test drive the vehicle. Take it out on the highway, climb hills and drive through stop-and-go traffic. Drive to places you would normally travel and look for changes in the car's suspension, engine and transmission during your trip.

Pay a mechanic to check over the vehicle before putting any money down. Use an ASE certified mechanic of your choosing so you get a fair appraisal of the condition of the car.

Ask for the maintenance record of the vehicle.

If the car has mismatched tires or cracked glass, the previous owner most likely did not take good care of the car.

Ask about the warranty. Get the specifics of the warranty covering the vehicle. Make sure that you review all paperwork before signing and check to ensure that the stated terms are accurate in the paperwork.

Don't cave in to high pressure sales tactics. If you are feeling pressured into a sale, ask to view the car privately. Politely explain that you are not prepared to purchase anything today and would like some space to look over the vehicle.

Check the finish for any differences in the paint. If you notice that the paint does not match exactly on a body panel, it may have been recently repaired. A good quality body shop will match the finish for a seamless repair. This may be your first hint that the car has been in an accident or has had shoddy repair work.

Ask the sales rep or private owner why they are selling the car and if it has been in any accidents. If they state the car has had an accident, ask what specific parts were damaged, what was repaired or replaced and where the work was performed.

Kick the tires. Yes, kick the tires. Check to see if they have bulges or obvious defects. Check the rims for rust, defects and excessive brake dust.

Check the oil level. If the motor oil is low, the owner may not take very good care of the car. Smell the oil on the dipstick. It should not smell burnt or have visible dirt or debris. This could be a sign of engine trouble.

Preparation is the most important part of buying a used car. Don't buy anything on your first day of shopping. You can use these tips to help you make an informed decision about your next vehicle purchase and avoid ending up with a lemon.
